Complete Timber Frames These are structures whose complete frame is executed in sawn timber and whose loads are transferred to the foundation via wood columns. You'll see what we mean in our Bare Structures section in the Portfolio. These comprise the majority of our projects and are typically insulated with Foam Core Panel Enclosures. |
The wood species we use
most are white pine, Douglas fir and red oak. We have also used white oak, Western red
cedar, red pine, occasionally some exotic hardwoods, reclaimed Douglas fir, and hand hewn
barn timbers.
