Guild Projects #712 (1 of 2) In 1994, a Timber Framers Guild of North America sponsored initiative requested volunteer members to join a small group to go to Russia and lead on the construction of this log building erected near the Neva River in St. Petersburg. Used by young apprentice boat-builders in a program called Atlantic Challenge. Apprentices from the U.S., Norway, Ireland, Great Britain, France, Denmark, Canada and the Soviet Union use this building to build boats in an international exchange program. John Fedeski was the happy camper from Northern Timberhouse Ltd.
